Re: Increase of your high-speed Internet access and the CRTC's decision

As you probably already know, over a year ago, major telecommunications companies such as Bell, petitioned the CRTC to find ways to charge more to independent providers, like Radioactif. Despite our protest and petitions signed by thousands of customers like you, the CRTC ruled in favor of the big Telecoms companies. Therefore we are required to change our rates in order to comply with the new regulations. That being said, Radioactif will continue to offer unlimited-no-surprises-no-contract-required plans AND we're also adding two new unlimited plans just for you.
At Radioactif, we've been massively investing in our network these last years and will continue to do so in the future. We are maintaining our unlimited DSL plans. You will never get any surprises at the end of the month or ever have to pay hidden fees.
· Speed Increase. The up to 5 Mbps DSL plan has been bumped up to up to 6 Mbps. We've already started implementing this in many areas which had the line capacity for it.
· New ADSL 2.0 Mbps plan.
· New ADSL 10.0 Mbps plan.
· $1 less to pay every month for modem rentals.
· Lower dry line prices in selected areas.

*In order to comply with the CRTC's new requirements and maintain our unlimited rates as low as possible, we are implementing a new protection system to deal with bandwidth abuse. This will protect the network and ensure that all our clients have a pleasant browsing experience. As this only concerns big users, less than 5% of our clients will be affected by the new policy. Please refer to www.radioactif.ca/gestion_abus for more information. We will simply restrict bandwidth usage for the concerned users for a short period of time. Their ability to surf the web will continue to be unlimited and they will not suffer any monetary penalty.
The current clients of the Ultra fast 5.0 ADSL plan will automatically be switched to the ADSL 6.0 plan on March 1st, 2012. You can switch plans at no extra cost before April 1st, 2012, except for the ADSL 10.0 plan which requires a one-time $100 activation fee.

Radioactif's new Customer Center allows you to keep track of your bandwidth usage, to contact customer support, to notify us or your upcoming move, to change your plan, to view your bills and payment history, etc.
